SAUNA BUILDERS — QUEENSLAND
We specialise in custom saunas — traditional and infrared, indoor and outdoor, residential and commercial — across the Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We hold QBCC licence #15463679 for our Queensland building work.
Not a kit reseller. Every sauna is designed for the space it sits in, framed and waterproofed properly, lined in low-toxin timber and finished by the same team that started it.
Site measure, layout and bench planning, heater sizing and timber selection. You see the full scope before anything is ordered.
Engineered framing, insulation, foil vapour barrier and correct drainage — the parts that decide whether a sauna lasts twenty years or two.
Low-toxin Modinex timber lining and benching, HUUM heaters, controlled ventilation, warm lighting and clean detailing throughout.
Decking, screening, outdoor showers and landscaping so the sauna reads as part of the home, not an add-on.

A great sauna is more than timber and a heater. It's the slab or subfloor underneath, the ventilation that makes it breathe, the waterproofing, and the power supply, all done properly. The Australian Wellness Building Co. manages every stage under one roof, so you're not left coordinating trades or discovering problems after the heater's switched on. One team and one point of contact, with the whole job done right.
A licensed Queensland builder carrying full insurance. Framing, waterproofing, approvals and licensed electrical work are all handled in-house or by our licensed trades.
Traditional Finnish sauna builds around HUUM heaters, correctly sized and vented — plus wifi heater control upgrades so the room is hot when you walk in.
Zero-waste, untreated timber sauna construction. No treated timber behind the lining, no varnish inside the hot room, and sustainable cedar where the look calls for it.
A site measure and design consult, engineered framing and waterproofing, insulation and vapour barrier, timber lining and benching, heater supply and installation, electrical by a licensed contractor, lighting, ventilation and handover.
Traditional saunas run hot with steam over rocks and suit outdoor and larger family installs. Infrared runs cooler, draws less power and suits compact indoor rooms. We spec both and will recommend based on your space, power supply and how you like to sweat.
Most residential sauna builds run three to six weeks on site once materials land, depending on size, site access and whether new decking, screening or a bathroom renovation is part of the scope.
Yes. We are a licensed Queensland builder carrying full insurance, and all electrical and plumbing work is completed by licensed trades.
Yes — gyms, recovery studios, wellness centres, clinics and hotels. We handle compliance, durable commercial-grade specification and staged works so you can keep trading.
For a permanent sauna, yes. The building work must be carried out by a QBCC-licensed contractor and all electrical work by a licensed electrician. We hold QBCC licence #15463679 and manage any building approvals your site needs.
We specify and install HUUM and Harvia heaters as standard, sized to the room, and can upgrade existing rooms with newer heaters and wifi controllers. All heater wiring is completed by a licensed electrical contractor.
No. Treated timber and film-forming sealants do not belong inside the vapour barrier or the hot room. We line saunas in untreated, low-toxin Modinex zero-waste timber and finish benching only with sauna-grade paraffin oil.
